NMW is held every year in Chicago. It is one of the largest annual gatherings of manufacturers in the United States. The 2006 show will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL for this first time (formerly held at McCormick Place). NMW is broken down into four shows in one. The four shows are the National Design & Engineering Show, National Plant Engineering & Maintenance Show, National Industrial Automation Show, and National Enterprise IT Show. The Enterprise IT Show is where most of the software vendors exhibit. The Enterprise IT Show typically draws 7,000 attendees and features more than 100 exhibitors.

NPE is the largest trade event dedicated to the plastics industry. The show is only held every three years so it draws a lot of attention from 2,000+ exhibitors and more than 75,000 attendees. Attendees come from a variety of industry segments including automotive, chemicals, electronic, housewares, machinery and equipment, medical, packaging, and more. The 2006 show will also target the rubber industry as well. Attendees represent manufacturers, distributors, and other businesses engaged in the plastics and rubber industry.
