Sage Software announced today that two Nonprofit Solutions employees, Tom Thornton, director of sales, and Heather Burton, product marketing manager, will co-present three education sessions at the 2007 Community Action Partnership (CAP) Annual Convention, to be held this week at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego in San Diego. Sage Software develops the award-winning Sage MIP Fund Accounting and Sage Fundraising solutions for nonprofit and government agencies across North America. Burton will present “Simple and Strategic Ways to Kick-Start the Diversification of Your Funding Sources” on August 29. Thornton will present “Get the Complete Picture with Outcome Measurements,” along with Eileen Johnston, associate director and chief finance officer for Port Townsend, Wash.-based Olympic Community Action (OlyCAP), on August 29, as well as “Allocation Management 101,” along with Tom Marlatt, associate director and chief finance officer for Stigler, Okla.-based KI BOIS Community Action, on August 30.
The Community Action Partnership (CAP) was established in 1971 as the National Association of Community Action Agencies (NACAA), and is the national organization representing the interests of the 1,000 Community Action Agencies (CAAs) working to fight poverty at the local level. The organization’s mission is to be a national forum for policy on poverty and to strengthen, promote, represent, and serve its network of member agencies to assure that the issues of the poor are effectively heard and addressed.
“CAAs and social service organizations across North America count on Sage MIP Fund Accounting to help them track and report on multiple funds across multiple budget periods, as they strive to meet reporting requirements and demonstrate accountability to constituents,” says Thornton. “Heather and I look forward to sharing our knowledge with attendees at this year’s CAP Annual Convention. And, I look forward to working with Eileen and Tom, two individuals with years of CAA experience.”
The software’s powerful reporting tools, table-driven charts of accounts, and dynamic Drill-down Analyzer make it easy for auditors to verify CAA and social services organizations’ financial statement accuracy and organization to maintain a clear audit trail. Sage MIP Fund Accounting helps these and other types of nonprofit organizations budget, track, forecast, and report on outcome measurements. The software can also integrate with third-party outcome measurement products.
Sage Fundraising 50 provides a complete fundraising and donor management tool suited for CAAs, social services, and other types of organizations that are in the beginning stages of strategic fundraising initiatives, as well as those who are mature in their fund diversification.
“Simple and Strategic Ways to Kick-Start the Diversification of Your Funding Sources” will be held at 1:30 p.m. on August 29; “Get the Complete Picture with Outcome Measurements” will be held at 3:30 p.m. on August 29; and “Allocation Management 101” will be held at 8:30 a.m. on August 30.
