Sage Software today announced general availability of Sage Fundraising 100 – Rainbow Edition, version 5.0, an updated version of its software for United Way organizations in North America. Offering a full suite of fundraising management and development tools, including functionality for the management of United Way workplace campaigns, Sage Fundraising 100 – Rainbow Edition now features a new Add-On Custom Fields module, along with user-requested enhancements, such as a new Fundraising Region field, newsletter delivery options, expanded fee management capabilities, and a new Job Details field. Version 5.0 also includes the Sage Information Center.“The enhancements selected by the users group will make Sage Fundraising 100 – Rainbow Edition even more user-friendly and efficient,” said Tom Elek, special projects director for Trident United Way in Charleston, S.C. “A set of interconnected enhancements will enable us to better track donations and income in accordance with U. S. Standard M and Canadian TAFR reporting requirements. Additionally, new data encryption capabilities will enable us to comply with banking regulations, while the new Favorites menu and the ability to transfer out report definitions will definitely come in handy.”
The new Add-On Custom Fields module allows United Way organizations to store up to 250 additional constituent fields for use by their organization. The fields can be of any type, including fields driven from standard system look-up tables or custom look-up tables defined just for that field.
The new Fundraising Region field enables United Way organizations to better track donations designated to their organization, but raised through another United Way. Using United Way Region codes, this field enables customers to flag donations from external locations with the name of the United Way that performed the fundraising for that location.
Other updates made to Sage Fundraising 100 – Rainbow Edition include automatic log-outs, newsletter delivery options, enhanced Security Rights window, expanded fee management capabilities, and a new Job Details field.
“The enhancement in version 5.0 allowing us to export information by a date range rather than all-inclusively will help us solve the numerous requests we receive from various agencies regarding donor designation acknowledgements,” said Peggy Pridmore, database manager for United Way of Central Alabama in Birmingham. “The new Favorites menu is helpful for getting to often-used menu items in the pledge processing area, while the new newsletter delivery options will enable us to quickly determine who wants to receive our newsletters electronically versus in hard copy.”
The Sage Information Center, a component of the company’s Sage Desktop, is now available within Sage Fundraising 100 – Rainbow Edition, providing a dynamically updated source of relevant information, including access to Sage Software’s regional training calendar and customer feedback links. Installed automatically, Sage Information Center was also added to the latest releases of most other Sage Software solutions.
Developed in partnership with United Way, Sage Fundraising 100 – Rainbow Edition allows United Way organizations to easily track detailed donor profiles, including demographics, giving history, and other information in one centralized database; manage workplace campaigns and donor communications, events, members, volunteers, and planned giving programs; fully track contacts and prospects; and perform sophisticated data-mining, analysis, and ad-hoc reporting tasks.
