Sage Software was recognized today by CMP Media’s VARBusiness magazine as having one of North America’s top information-technology (IT) vendor partnership programs for solution providers. Sage Software is certified as a Five-Star Partner for 2006, acknowledging the strength of its programs for IT integrators, resellers and consultants. Of the more than 250 vendor-program entries reviewed, Sage Software was one of just 70 companies receiving the coveted five-star rating in the magazine’s 12th annual Partner Programs Guide survey. The guide is published in the March 20, 2006, issue of VARBusiness.“We applaud vendors like Sage Software for demonstrating best practices, and for the leadership roles they have achieved within the IT distribution channel,” says VARBusiness Editor Lawrence M. Walsh.
“What sets Sage Software apart is our clear focus on small and mid-sized businesses, both in the broad selection of products we offer, and in the services we provide,” said Taylor Macdonald, Sage Software executive vice president, Channel and Sales Operations, Mid-Market Division. “That focus extends to our partnership program, which provides industry leading margins and unique programs that help our partners significantly improve their hiring, marketing, selling, and business planning and development. The bottom line is that we know what it takes to be a successful solution provider and we offer the award-winning support to help create that success.”
The Sage Software Partner Advantage Program supports solution providers who are focused on offering end-to-end business management solutions to their small and mid-sized business customers. The program offers unique elements such as marketing advisors, mentoring programs, project management training, hiring assistance and other support designed to help Sage business partners build and sustain successful businesses.
This latest award adds to the recognition received at the 2005 Software Industry Awards. In September 2005, the company’s 100/100 Program, which helps Sage Software business partners qualify, hire and train effective sales representatives, was honored as “Best Partnering Initiative” by the 2005 Software Industry Awards.
Macdonald, who drives the company’s mid-market business partner programs, has previously been recognized for his initiatives by the American Business Awards (2005), and by CRN magazine as one of technology’s top channel chiefs (2005 and 2006).
