Sage Software today announced that Heather Burton, product marketing manager for its Nonprofit Solutions, will participate on a donor retention panel at the 2006 Direct Marketing Association (DMA) Washington Nonprofit Conference, being held February 16-17 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C. Titled, “Hold on Tight...To Your Donors: Why You Should Invest More in Retention Programs and How,” and scheduled for Friday, February 17 at 1:15 p.m., the session will discuss donor retention tips and techniques, with an emphasis on technology used to implement retention strategies.“Coming from the nonprofit industry, I understand how critical donor retention is to fundraising organizations,” said Burton. “It takes valuable time, money, and effort to attract new donors, and competition for public and private grants continues to rise. I hope to show attendees how technology, specifically fundraising software, enables organizations to effectively capture valuable donor information and then utilize it to broaden and deepen the donor-nonprofit relationship.”
In addition to Burton, planned session participants include:
• Moderator: Rich Anderson, Vice President/Client Services, Copland O’Neil
• Panelist: Jon Thorsen, General Manager, Higher Ed & Hospitals, Kintera® Inc.
• Panelist: Nick Stavarz, President, Synergy Direct Marketing Solutions LLC
