This year's survey focused on issues surrounding business planning and business succession. Within these issues, the potential for technology such as CRM systems was also explored. Because business owners around the world were polled, the results offer a comparative view of these business issues across countries.

In general, business owners were optimistic about the business climate with 69% having a positive outlook. This mirrors the findings in last year's Business Minds Survey, where 70% of respondents in the North American survey projected a positive change (view last year's Business Minds Survey).
