JOBOPS combines the features of job costing,
bill of materials, and manufacturing systems. Using
JOBOPS, custom manufacturers and "assemble-to-order"
value add distributors can effectively manage resources,
keep tabs on expenses, and monitor the status of each
job throughout the production process. JOBOPS
is a real-time management tool focused on project status
and profitability tracking.
The core JOBOPS
module facilitates the creation and tracking of work
tickets through the Sales Order module. All labor costs,
parts usage, purchases, and other direct expenses related
to the job can be monitored in real time.
Other JOBOPS modules
include: Time Tracker, which collects shop floor
data for labor, parts usage, completion quantities,
and job status, and interfaces with the Payroll module;
the graphical Scheduling module, which enables
users to schedule resources with full support of finite
or infinite load models; and the Configurator,
which facilitates wizard-based creation of sophisticated,
rules-based product configurations.
JOBOPS is designed
to be a real-time management tool, focusing on profit
and project status, with the flexibility to capture
the right information at the right time.
